Chris O'Donnell was a major crush of mine back in grade 6 until college. So he's probably the most long lasting celebrity crushes I've had followed closely by James Marsters, whom I still consider as one of the people I would consent to spawning with because he's so hot and creative, given the chance. But I digress.
My past obsession with Chris drove me to do very fan-girly things that I normally wouldn't do. I've seen all of his movies except one, Kinsey, which I didn't know he was in. I named a favorite stuff toy, a white seal pup with a Santa hat, Christmas O'Donnell. Poor as I was when I was a student, I managed to save P400 to buy a VHS tape of "In Love and War", a movie I have several newspaper clippings of. I remember cajoling Fat Cow to watch "Vertical Limit" and "The Bachelor" with me so I wouldn't be alone in the cinema. Heck, even when my interest in him waned, I forced myself to watch "Grey's Anatomy" to see him.
Well 2 weeks ago, if we go by the Kevin Bacon game, I am now 1 degree away from Chris. I went and saw the house where Ernest Hemingway was born. Now for those who are Chris' fans like I am or are people whom I have subjected to my Chris Love rants know that Chris played Ernest Hemingway in "In Love and War".
One degree away from Chris!!! My inner fan girl squeals with glee.
Here are pictures with me, enjoying my moment of closeness with a man who will never know I exist. And, if by some chance he comes into knowledge of my existence, he will immensely regret it since I will act like a total loon similar to those girls who chased the Take That bus in the video "Never forget".
