I really should have posted this a week ago but it seems that being in a different timezone is making me a person who actually sleeps early. I've been waking up insanely early and I've also been sleeping long hours during non-work days. Oh no, I've turned into an office drone!!!
Anyhoo, if there was one thing I was excited about this sojourn outside the motherland it was the chance of finally seeing a Japanese toilet. The one that is said to have so many buttons, it boggles the mind.
So now that I've finally seen one with my own 2 eyes, I have to say that the rumors are true. That thing looks like some sort of modern game chair console that lets you do number 1 and 2 without leaving your game. For a moment I got worried that if I pressed the wrong button, I would be ejected.
So here are the pictures I've taken of this legendary piece of bathroom fixture engineering. I will run down the functions for most of them.
Stop: This makes the action done by the other buttons stop.
Shower: Stronger version of the Bidet.
Bidet: Well...it's a bidet.
Low: Lowers the stregth of spray of the shower and bidet.
High: Increases the strength of spray of the shower and bidet which, if you ask me, is useless for the bidet since there's the Shower button.
Flushing Sound: Makes flushing noises. I can't
imag
ine why one would have to use this unless that person is doing number 2 and he/she doesn't want the people outside their cubicle to know that it's them. Still that would be pointless since the fake flushing sound sounds different from the real flushing sound.
Flush: Flushes the toilet. This is actually not among the many buttons but is a metal pedal attached to the wall by the toilet. Of all the things that could surprise me, this won out. I mean, they can place million features there and not include the flush? WHY?!!!!!
